CLACK® PYROLOX® PRO - IRON AND MANGANESE FILTERS
Pyrolox® Pro is a washed manganese dioxide for the removal of iron, manganese and arsenic. Pyrolox Pro is a much cleaner manganese dioxide compared to other unprocessed manganese dioxides due to the washing process which results in a reduced volume of fines and turbidity.
Pyrolox® Pro is used as a catalyst to oxidise, precipitate and remove iron and manganese as well as trace contaminants such as arsenic and hydrogen sulphide.
This media operates within a pH range of 6.5 – 9.0 and is preferable to a pre-oxidised feed, this can be via a dedicated aeration vessel or by using a strong oxidant like chlorine.
The trapped particulate is then removed from the media bed during the backwash cycle. Wateq’s Pyrolox® Pro provides savings in installation and commissioning cost due to the washed nature of the product.
Pyrolox® Pro units are suitable for residential, commercial and industrial applications.

Please ensure air gap on drain to prevent potential future issues
Soak the media overnight where possible due to the dusty nature of the product
Backwash the unit once the media has been soaked
